The Almadies Senegal project is strategically located in the city of Dakar, the vibrant and dynamic center of West Africa. It is surrounded by social and recreational areas such as the Stade de Ngor Stadium, des Almadies Golf Club and several hotels, which increases the potential for multifaceted use of the area. These characteristics indicate that the area has a high value in terms of spatial relationships and user experience. The project area stands out with its proximity to the International Airport and offers a strategic access advantage with its direct connection to the main transportation arteries. This location facilitates local and international mobility and integrates the site into the transportation infrastructure. The project consists of two main parts: the core with commercial units and residential blocks. Designed with the aim of utilizing the land with maximum efficiency, the basic part supports commercial use, while the upper levels are transformed into social interaction areas for the residence blocks. This approach allows different functions to work together in a balanced way, providing spatial integrity and richness in terms of user experience. The main landscape area is positioned at the level of a platform offering social and recreational spaces for users. The open spaces on the lower levels are designed to support commercial activities and enhance the vitality of these areas. This approach aims to strike a balance between the functionality of commercial and residential areas. Driveways in front of the commercial areas are designed to support the functionality of the retail activities. The building is set back and widens the narrow space on the street to create a public square. This design approach aims to optimize the use of space and improve the urban experience. Within the scope of the project, parking lots in front of the commercial areas facilitate access, while a drop-off area is created to support the entrance to the residence by retreating from the main street. Traffic flow is optimized by providing access to the residence parking lot from the same point. The upper floor of the commercial units is designed as the inner garden of the residence blocks, enriching the functionality and user experience of the space. The mass is positioned to efficiently fill the project area and is organized considering environmental and functional requirements. The mass design optimizes the placement and layout of the commercial units to make the most efficient use of the land. The residential blocks are placed vertically above the commercial units, thus balancing the relationship between both functions and ensuring efficient use of space.
