Located in the Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul, north of Kemerburgaz, this residential project showcases an architectural approach that harmonizes with the region's characteristic forest landscape and low-density settlement structure, striking a delicate balance between nature and urban living. Shaped by a settlement plan that respects the natural topography, the project is strategically located close to the TEM Highway, the Hasdal–Kemerburgaz connection road, and the Northern Marmara Highway. Its location offers easy access to Istanbul Airport and central business districts, combining the search for quality and secluded living with the dynamics of the city.
The “apartment with villa comfort” concept at the heart of the design comes to life with spacious terraces and private garden areas defined for each unit. The building structure is planned to preserve the existing tree canopy and maximize natural light. The materials chosen for the exterior, such as wood and natural stone, allow the architectural masses to become part of the landscape, creating a transparent language that blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. The spacious balconies and rooftop gardens integrate the forest view into the living spaces as a permanent feature, promising residents an independent living experience.
The social focal point of the project is the social axis designed along the central axis of the settlement, drawing on the calming power of water. In this area, a decorative pond (calming water feature) was chosen instead of a traditional swimming pool to reduce movement and noise levels, aiming to create a peaceful atmosphere in harmony with the silence of the forest. To avoid disrupting the landscape continuity of the social facilities and to preserve privacy, they were placed underground, increasing the spatial integrity and amount of green space throughout the settlement.
For a lifestyle focused on tranquility and security, vehicle traffic has been completely separated from residential areas and resolved at ground level, with internal circulation reserved exclusively for pedestrian access. This pedestrian-oriented internal landscape design creates a safe social ecosystem where children and adults can interact directly with nature. This project, designed by TRIO Architects, blends the comfort offered by modern architecture with the tranquility of the forest, offering a refined and sustainable lifestyle in Kemerburgaz.
